The Sensory Friendly Show
July 25th
Encore Musicals would like to invite children and adults who have heightened sensory-sensitivity to attend an open dress rehearsal of “Cinderella” on Thursday evening, July 25, at 6:00 p.m.
Our desire is to provide a judgment-free theater experience for people who may be affected by conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorders, anxiety, or other cognitive or physical disabilities. There is no charge for this “Sensory-Friendly” performance.
The modifications to this performance will include:
Lower sound levels
Dimmed (but not dark) lighting
Reduced special-effects lighting
Freedom to talk and move during the performance
Designated “activity areas” within the theater
Encore Musicals respectfully requests that, whenever possible, adults be accompanied by no more than one other caregiver. Children (under 18 years old) with special needs may be accompanied by more than one person.
Note: Concessions will not be available during this performance. Guests with strict dietary requirements will be allowed to bring whatever food or drink is necessary. All others may bring water only.
Please note–all wheelchair spaces have been reserved. Any attendee in a wheelchair must be able to transfer into a theater seat.
